Stags stay down as odds are announced

So, a trip to Field Mill WILL be on the agenda next season, as- if we're honest- the rather unlucky Stags lost on penalties to Huddersfield in yesterday's playoff final, after scores remained goaless.

Liam Lawrence- 'Did I do something wrong?'
The plucky outfit may feel a little hard done to as striker Colin Larkin had a 'goal' unjustifiably ruled out by a linesman's flag.

Winger Wayne Corden had his half-hearted penalty saved, while Liam Lawrence produced, undeniably, the moment of the season by trying a Di Canioesque chip which, embarrisingly for him, clipped the top of the crossbar instead of finishing in the back of the net.

Meanwhile, as the Stags think about the prospect of spending at least another season in the Third Division, and maybe even losing manager Keith Curle to Blackpool, Ladbrokes wasted no time in announcing their odds for the Third Division title.

The bookies made Colin Calderwood's Northampton side their favourites- with Notts alongside Lincoln, Mansfield and Yeovil at 12/1. Worth a flutter in anyone's book.

The full list of early odds is below.

Northampton Town 9/2

Chester City 9/1

Grimsby Town 10/1

Wycombe Wanderers 11/1

Lincoln City 12/1
Mansfield Town 12/1
Notts County 12/1
Yeovil Town 12/1

Oxford United 14/1
Swansea City 14/1

Southend United 16/1

Boston United 20/1
Bristol Rovers 20/1
Rushden & Diamonds 20/1
Shrewbury Town 20/1

Cambridge United 25/1
Cheltenham Town 25/1
Kidderminster United 25/1

Bury 33/1
Leyton Orient 33/1

Darlington 40/1

Macclesfield Town 50/1
Scunthorpe United 50/1

Rochdale 66/1

If you're looking outside of the obvious (Notts County), Bristol Rovers at 20/1 would me my (rather clueless) tip.
