Solihull boss Tim Flowers dejected his side had lost to Notts County

But said the Magpies were indebted to the great save by Slocombe

Flowers said “I am disappointed obviously.

“It looked a stick on 0-0. It looked like most games you would see after teams have played twice in three days.

“I don’t think either goalkeeper was really tested up until the goal which was  a reuslt of an individual error.

“Then the game is sparked into life. We rained it in and from where I was stood their goalkeeper produced a wonder save. I don’t know how he saw it.

“We could have taken a point from the game. I thought Notts shifted it quite nicely early on without really hurting us.

“They were adept on the ball, but there was nothing there for them at the end of it.

“I am disappointed for the lads because they put everything into the game. They deserved  something from it.

“Football is fine margins and it’s making good decisions on the field and not making individual errors. That’s what cost us.

“Notts are a good team with huge support, but there is a long, long, way to go.”
