Paul Ince has moved quickly to make his first signing as Notts County manager, securing the services of Nigerian international centre back Sam Sodje on a two-year deal. Sodje most recently played for Greek side Skoda Xanthi, although he failed to make an appearance for them and was released just a month into his contract. He has also been on trial at Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday since returning from Greece.
His most recent English club were Charlton Athletic, for whom he has played twice. He has also enjoyed spells at Stevenage, Margate, Brentford, Reading, Watford and Leeds United. Having leaked goals so far this season Ince will be hoping that Sodje's experience can help plug a gap in the middle of Notts' back line.
