Kevin Nolan tells his players they deserve being top of League Two

“I told the players to enjoy being top of the league, because it’s what they deserve,” he said.

“The challenge now is for them to maintain it.

“I told the players not to get carried away and make sure to continue what you are doing because hopefully nobody will be able to knock you off the perch then.

“While we are on the top, we are not looking at winning leagues – I am not even thinking about it.

“We are still focused on reaching safety as quickly as possible, reassess and see where we are then.

“Then we can then maybe start talking about winning things and promotion.

“It’s March and April when it matters and becomes squeaky bum time.

“But we’ve got a tough week coming up and we’ve got a hard game on Tuesday so we have to make sure we the players are well prepared.

“I said we were starting to click,

“You saw a lot of good combinations out there. We have a lot of quality and I keep saying it that we have goals all over.

“Long may it continue and I am delighted with what the lads showed out there.”
