Gudjon's first signing?

O'Callaghan knows Thordarson from their brief time together at Barnsley, though the defensive-minded midfielder has since had to drop into the part-time game after being released by the Tykes last summer.

And reports, including from Worksop's official website, suggest that the former Irish under-21 international has penned a deal to work under the experienced Icelander for the second time.

There has yet to be any form of official confirmation from Meadow Lane, though.

Gudjon: On the prowl?
Limerick-born O'Callaghan made 90 first-team appearences at Barnsley, after moving to Oakwell from his native Ireland as a 17-year-old.

The 24-year-old initially played as a centre back but has since been converted into a midfielder.

He has played for the Conference North side for the past season.

Thordarson took over the reigns at Meadow Lane almost a month ago but has remained quiet on the transfer front since his appointment.
