With 5 players already leaving Meadow Lane as Craig Ireland, Richard Liburd, Danny Stone and Richard Holmes have all been released and Simon Ramsden returning to Sunderland after his year long loan added to the fact Danny Allsopp is set to move to Hull City later today, Notts will be left with a squad of just 13 professionals.

Dearden is yet to sign a player on a permanent basis since arriving from Mansfield last year, and is looking forward to making his first signing this summer.

The former Mansfield manager knows he won't be splashing out transfer fee's this summer, with any signings likely to be on free transfers.

"I know there is not going to be a fortune to spend, but it will be nice to make my first proper signing." Dearden told the Evening Post.

"It is something I am looking forward to. It is something that, as a manager, you get a buzz out of.

"You get excited by bringing new faces in and I have missed that in my time here.

"It gives the whole place a lift, it really does.

"Hopefully, over the summer, we will have plenty to be positive about."
Dearden added.
