Local journeyman: Stallard will now have played for Derby, Notts, Lincoln and Mansfield...
Mark Stallard has today joined forces with Notts County's local rivals, Mansfield Town.

Stallard joins the Stags on a free transfer following his release from Lincoln City earlier in the summer.

The 33-year old striker, will link up with Mansfield's new boss, Billy McEwan, who coached him at the beginning of his 17-year career at Derby County.

A drop down into the Conference could be seen as a geographical comfort, as the front-man has spent much of his career in and around the Nottinghamshire area.

Most notable was his time with the Magpies, where he scored 66 times across two spells with the club, gaining a cult-figure status.
