The home side took an early lead when Sam Stubbs, playing against his former loan club, headed in from Jordan Thomas' corner in the fourth minute.

County responded with two goals before the break, courtesy of Jatta's first and a good finish from Josh Martin. Jatta took advantage of an error by Stubbs, taking it around goalkeeper Joe Day in the 26th minute, while Martin scored after Matt Palmer's precise pass sliced open the Cheltenham defense.

Cheltenham came out strong in the second half, with substitute Ryan Bowman equalizing just two minutes after the restart. Bowman finished from close range following another corner from Thomas.

However, Notts County regained the lead in the 58th minute when George Abbott unleashed a stunning strike into the top right corner after Palmer's corner had been cleared, making it 3-2.

On the hour, Joel Colwill equalized for Cheltenham but just two minutes later, Sam Austin put County back in front, pouncing on Jack Hinchy’s pass to make it 4-3. Jatta sealed the win in stoppage time, tapping in a brilliant pass from Dan Crowley.
