In a cruelly symmetrical piece of news that comes just one week after Tranmere signed Ben Burgess, Notts have today completed their bizarre year-long pursuit of Tranmere Rovers target man Enoch Showunmi. The Magpies reportedly had a six-figure bid turned down for the former Luton Town and Leeds United striker last summer, but have now landed their man on a free transfer after he was released by Rovers following an injury ravaged campaign in which he struggled for goals. Showunmi has signed a two-year deal at Meadow Lane becomes the club's first official signing of the summer.
