In a day like no other Notts took on Luton Town, but it seemed that was irrelevent, as the fans watched what could be the last ever game Notts County FC will play.

| Meadow Lane certainly seemed to have an amazing atmosphere, with the ground buzzing with noise over an hour before kick-off.
The array of shirts at Meadow Lane was also pleasing to see, with Forest well represented as well as Leicester, Southampton, Bournemouth, Derby and Chelsea.
I am also informed that Celtic's Neil Lennon made the effort to go to the game, as well as Forest striker David Johnson, who has very kindly donated £500 to Notts' cause.
The atmosphere was certainly unique and to my amazement the attendance was later announced at 7,505. It really did look and sound, that there were much more people there than that.
When Steve Pitcher from the Supporter's Trust made an excellent speech before the game, that just added to the atmosphere and the players received rapturous applause from the home crowd as the noise hit levels unheard of in Meadow Lane in the past few years.
 | Had one of his best games for Notts |
| As I said earlier, the game seemed irrelevent but how weird was it to see a 32 year old defender score from thirty five yards and Darren Caskey run about 50 yards to make possibly a goal saving tackle in the dying moments.
The end of the game summed the Notts fans mood up and when 'You'll never walk alone" was blasted from the PA system, I saw a tear in many an eye.
The majority of Z Block, me included, then stayed to belt songs out, including the famous Wheelbarrow song, which Notts are renowned for.
Then to make my day complete, I spoke to administrators John Kelly and Paul Finnity as well as the man that's trying so hard to save this club, Peter Joyce.
All were defying orders by talking to Notts fans, but they saw what the club meant to the fans of Notts County and just had to re-assure us all that we would be ok and survive.
I thought when Joyce told one lady that she was going to ask him to father her children, as her & her daughter cried on the mans shoulder.
It was a touching moment and a brilliant day that I'll never forget.
